Feb 1998 – Present President and CEO

Software Engineering Services, Inc., Yorktown, VA

Founded the company in 1998 and developed the company into a full-time software engineering contracting company.  As an entrepreneur, developed the company infrastructure and business systems, established policies and procedures for handling every aspects of the business.  Led the company to form strategic partnerships with fortune 500 companies, which offer the best products and services available to our customers.  Developed many new products for inclusion into the company’s offerings.  Most recent offerings are the Remote Backup Service, Mini-PC home entertainment system, and Emergency Response Inventory Management System (ERICS).  Established the company’s customer service center web site, and wrote many articles on a wide range of topics for the kick off of the site.  Develop proposals and market the company to current customers and potential clients.  As a measurement of success, the company has grown on average 20% per year over the last 5 years.  Managed the company through financial and operational adversity to emerge each time as a stronger and more vibrant company.

Feb 2000 – Present Computer Engineer

Software Engineering Services, Inc., Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, VA

Architecture Team Lead – Acted as the Architecture Team lead, developing the Plan of Action and Milestones for team operation.  Identified level of effort to properly perform team functions.  Coordinated efforts between the Software Engineering, Database Administration, Systems/Networking, Operations, and the Data Administration teams to accomplish cross discipline tasks in a fast pace demanding environment.

Information Assurance Officer - responsible for the security aspects of Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution Application (SLDCADA) program.  Developed the security program and guiding SLDCADA through the security accreditation process.  SLDCADA is a major program of record for the U. S. Navy.

Navy and Marine Corp. Intranet (NMCI)) Liaison.  Represented the SLDCADA program at NMCI meetings and conferences.  Managed the NMCI/SLDCADA relationship to ensure that SLDCADA was able to successfully operate as a desktop application.  Interfaced with senior members of EDS, SPAWAR, and NETWARCOM to develop processes that allowed SLDCADA to smoothly transition into their environment.  Provide presentations to user groups and configuration control board on the impact of NMCI on the development and deployment efforts of SLDCADA.

Systems/Networking Team Leader directly responsible for 45 test and development Sun Servers.  Also indirectly responsible for an additional 60 production Sun servers in multiple locations with customers worldwide.  Responsible for the design, development and deployment of a secure data transfer system for distributed processing centers.  The system has a web and host based user interface.  This system in full production moves approximately 30GB data per day between processing centers in Mechanicsburg PA, San Diego CA, and Yorktown VA. Responsible for the design, development and deployment of an operation scheduling and execution web based system.  Develop hardware requirements for the SLDCADA central design agency (CDA).
